The stand of the editors gives you the opportunity to meet frontline fantasy authors and illustrators. Discussiongroups and dedication scéances will be organised with the authors on saturday and sunday.

You'll find several magazines, fanzines, editors and associations with their stands showing what they are up to today (see at the bottom of the page).

Authors

Here are the names of the authors who have confirmed to attend the festival as for now (more to be confirmed):

Stan Nicholls (UK)

Writer, anthologist, journalist and critic englishman who works with fantasy as well as science-fiction. His series ''Les Orcs'' (Bragelonne) is a reference in its genre as it explores the mind of a hated race. The ''Nightshade'' and ''Vif-argent'' are also success series from his hand.

Véronique Bacci (F)

French Heroic Fantasy writer, born in 1980. She is the founder of Iceberg Editions, publishing young writers, including herself, starting off with her novel ''Altéha''.

Rose Berryl (B)

Belgian fantasy writer, born in 1982, author of a series called ''Damenndyn'', with the first three volumes published by Luce Wilquin.

Sire Cédric (F)

French fantasy writer, born in 1974. Some of his novels are gathered in ''Dechirures'' (published by Nuit d'Avril, 2005), and his novel Angemort (Nuit d'Avril, 2006) has excellent critics.

Pierre Dubois (F)

French fantasy author, television columnist and scriptwriter, born 1945. Author of several novels of reference linked to Little People and to tales and legends like "La Grande Encyclopédie des Elfes", "La Grande Encyclopédie des Elfes", "La Grande Encyclopédie des Fées", "La Grande Encyclopédie des Lutins" and "Leçons d'elficologie". He has also written the scenarios for series like ''Le Grimoire du Petit Peuple", "Laïyna", "Les Lutins", "Le Torte", "Pixies", "Petrus Barbygère", "Le Miroir des eaux", "Red Caps" et "Saskia des vagues " in the "Long courrier" collection.

Damian Eicker (F)

French writer, his first novel is in a Dark fantasy style called ''L'enfant de la mort'', first in a cylclecalled ''Les Portes des Spheres du Monde'', published at Iceberg Editions.

Murielle H. Essling (F)

French fantasy writer, whose first fantasy novel called ''Le Temps de l'accomplissement'' (published by 5eme saison) has won the Merlin prize. Her second novel called ''La Guerre des Immortels'' was pulblished in 2006.

Mélanie Fazi (F)

French author and translator, born in 1973, whose oeuvre explores a very personal fantasy, which we can admire in her short stories: Serpentine (Oxymore, 2004), but also in her novels : Trois Pépins du fruit des morts (Nestiveqnen, 2003) and Arlis des forains (Bragelonne).

Laurent Genefort (F)

French science fiction and fantasy author, born in 1968, whose demanding oeuvre makes him one of the best authors of his generation : ''Le Cycle d'Omale''. Amongst his latest writings we can find : La Mecanique du Talion (L'Atlante, 2003), Le Nom maudit (Octobre, 2005).

Sandrine Gestin (F)

Sandrine Gestin is a feerie and fantasy artist by excellence, inspired by normand legends, epic stories and fantasy stories. When we look at her splendid scenes, indeed we cannot deny these inspirations. Here's an elf queen, and there's dark angerlic personnage.

Denis Labbé (F)

French author, translator and critic, born in 1965, co-author of a dozen of essays about fantasy and science-fiction (published by Belin and Ellipses) and notably a study about Harry Potter.

Alain le Bussy (B)

Belgian science fiction writer, born in 1947, author of more than thirty novels, amongst which the series ''Aqualia'' and ''Yorg'' (Published by Eons).

Xavier Mauméjean (F)

French science-fiction and fantasy author, born in 1963. He's inpired by adventure novels and detective novels. With ''La Venus Anatomique (Mnemos, 2004), he revisits the Frankenstein myth, however his ''La ligue des heros (Mnemos) is on a steampunk theme. He won the fantasy novel Gerardmer prize in 2000 with ''Les memoires de l'homme elephant''.

Claire Panier-Alix (F)

French fantasy writer, born in 1969, who has published the series of ''Chronique insulaire'' (Nestiveqnen) amongst which the four reedited are a reference in its genre.

Anthêsis
Association which promotes young authors and illustrators, in the imaginary domain in the larger sense (Fantasy, Feerie, Fantastic, Science-Fiction, Thriller). Its members also edit the lefantastique.net website (news from today's fantasy in the form of literature, comics, music, cinema, RPG's, and tales & legends) and they organise events like the Troll&Légendes festival, the Pavillon des Trolls, the Fantastique.Nights concerts, and the Pilgrimage parties.

Harry Potter Forever
Association of young webmasters, webdesigners, coders, and webdevelopers. They are the editors of a french Harry-Potter website. Amongst their websites is also the Trolls&Légendes festival's website.

Association which promotes J.R.R. Tolkien's oeuvre. Apart from the website, containing an encyclopedia, a gallery, essays, etc... , Tolkiendil publishes a fanzine, L'Arc et le Heaume, on the same theme.

Fées Divers
A magazine dedicated to Féerie (promoting and studying Féeric folklore) and to tales and legends (Classical as well as contemporary), proposing thematic documentation, columns, reviews, interviews, illustrations and short-stories. Its first issue is called ''Sombre Féerie''.

Borderline

Club Présences d'Esprits
Association started off in 1992, in the beginning to respond to the letters coming from readers of the Présence du Futur collection. It reunites fans of Fantasy, Fantastic, and Science-fiction in order to promote the imaginary of fantastic in all its shapes and forms. PDE also produces a homonymous fanzine and has published an anthology of short-stories written during the writing ateliers, ''Esprits Mutants''.

Actusf is a news website with everything about imaginary genres (Science-fiction, Fantasy, Fantastic) in literature, literature for children and comic-books.
